My life-long mentors have been my high school
commercial design teacher, Robert Takatch,
who shared his passion for watercolor, and
my uncle, Stan Snyder, also an artist, who
shared his passion for breaking out of the
norm and taking artistic risks. To them I am
grateful for their love and encouragement to
create and trust myself. And a gracious thanks
to my friends and family who offer me inspiration
and encouragement every day.

I have spent over 20 years developing my style with watercolors. My paintings are gentle yet bold, rich with movement and color, capturing beauty from around the world. I am constantly in awe of nature's gifts.

Shaker Village
2008
(Original 6 X 9)
I visited the Shaker Village in the Berkshires (in Massachusetts) in September, 2007. Not only was the history fascinating, but around every corner a wonderful painting! I love the mustard color of the house with the yellowy sunflowers in the foreground.

I have traveled extensively, some of my favorite places include: Scotland, Greece, France, British Columbia, New Mexico, and England. When I travel, I bring my paint set....always, not knowing what new views I might capture. In addition, many of my paintings portray the beauty from my gardens and from the New England region.
