Hand Painted Gourds

Gourds have become a new canvas base for my paintings.
During my travels to Amish country in Ohio, I was struck by the unique and interesting shapes of these "inedible squash". I purchased a few to start and found that the shape of the gourd inspired each design and painting. I bought more gourds,continued exploring designs and various dyes and have almost 50 completed. Each is finished with a highly durable coating to make the gourds suitable to hang outdoors, use as birdhouses or use for ornamental-decorative pieces. Samples of these may be seen below.

Although every piece is unique, there are several designs
that may be ordered: DragonFly, Falling Leaves, and Florals.
Prices range from $50 - 120 depending on size and complexity.
